Life has upped the ante
Advice that I would give to my younger self that took me a long time to fully accept was that it’s your job and your job only to accept yourself for who you are. It cannot be outsourced, and you shouldn’t want it to be.
If you know the kind of energy that you’re on is not the norm, you need to accept that and run with it as soon as possible. Run as long and as far as you can with that because it’s the fuel to your greatness.
Speaking of greatness, that’s exactly what I'm referring to. Some may be okay with less, some aren’t. And I don't mean more or less in comparison to other people. I mean more or less from themselves.
We know when we have more in the tank, we know when we are just coasting by, and we definitely know when we are settling. At the end of the day, we all have the right to choose what we are content with.
But if you are someone who wants more for yourself, and you are waiting for other people who don't want the same thing for themselves to see you and accept you for who you are, you are going to be waiting for a long time.
It’s natural, of course, to want to be accepted and appreciated for who you are. Especially from those that are closest to you. But it doesn’t always work like that.
Sometimes people can't see in you what they don't see in themselves. And that's exactly why your view of yourself cannot be through the lens of someone else.
There are rare instances where someone sees more in you than you see in yourself, and those are people you should definitely keep close. But if that isn’t the case, if the connection is not based on seeing and supporting the betterment of who we are, you cannot expect them to see what you see.
For people like you, good is not good enough. Life has upped the ante. Some of us feel it and recognize that we must go harder to thrive in these new times. And some have successfully numbed themselves to a new reality even if it’s not ideal.
We refuse to do that. We deserve better, and we are willing to do what it takes to earn it. But it starts with accepting that you’re a little different.
That’s why you’re here. That’s why you are interested in the STO movement. Because there’s a frequency that you’re tapped into that tells you that you’re either going to go at it alone, or you’re going to find your tribe.
The people who go hard for what they need out of life and live by a code of values.
That’s who you are.
You’re not crazy, you just need to accept who you are and never settle for the kind of company that doesn’t see and support you for who you really are.
